Mysteries of Paris. Paris is recognized as the City of Light, part of the credit for this name could be credited to long-standing city ordinances that have limited the height of buildings in the central city. A more ordinary skyline, interrupted just by the Eiffel Tower, the Tour Montparnasse, Sacré-Coeur, and a small number of church steeples, gives this city’s citizens almost free access to natural light. On the other hand, another important contributor to the sense of openness in Paris is the great number of public spaces, equally green and paved, mixed together all through all twenty arrondissements, that offer the inhabitants the chance to run away, if only for a moment, his metropolitan surroundings and consume air and light like his cousins in the provinces.
Well those were the things that have amazed young Gabriela on her first visit to Paris in 1862. She was located near the Berlioz Square which made her also very happy because that is an amazing location. However, the main reason for the visit was the wedding of Gabriela’s cousin but after the wedding she liked to stay in Paris for a longer period of time and use that time to see all wonderful sights there, getting to know the biggest part of the city by herself. Gabriela realized that the City of Light is really mystical and all its beauties make it really magical.
