Trip to Cherokee Forest. Cherokee National Forest is located in eastern Tennessee and extends from Chattanooga to Bristol along the North Carolina border. It lies in the heart of the Southern Appalachian mountain range, one of the world’s most diverse areas, a place that characterizes with more than 20,000 species of plants and animals, providing incredible beauty that could be attractive for anyone interested in nature and history.
Trout fishing, wind sailing, water skiing, boating, hiking and equestrian trails, primitive and tent camping, are just one part of the diverse recreational opportunities that this forest gives to its visitors, and that’s why it’s is not strange that the place is visited by millions each year.
