Nature’s Wonders. Yosemite National Park is located in the state of California in the Sierra Nevada Mountains., covering 761,268 acres of land. Before it was turned into a national park in 1890. It had been home to the Ahwaneechee Native Americans for 4,000 years. However, trappers and the California Gold Rush changed all of this. Today, Yosemite National Park is known by numerous natural beauties like the waterfalls, the incredible landscapes. 20% of California’s 7,000 plant species are located exactly within Yosemite. But also there are 500 giant sequoias in Yosemite, which can live up to 3,000 years thought to be the largest living things on the planet.
Brenda has read about the Yosemite National Park a lot but she is there for the first time. She knows much about the beauties of this national park. But she is most interested in the lakes that are located in the park and of course, its incredibly rich history. Brenda knows that many years ago this was the place where the native Indians lived.
